All are due at the time of your session. I accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. I have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel any appointment with less than 24-hours notice, you are responsible for your full fee as a cancellation fee. If you use insurance, then you are responsible for the full amount your insurance normally reimburses. Insurance companies do not cover missed sessions. Payments are required at the time of service. Clients may be asked to complete the Payment Authorization Form (see Forms Page) to allow payments to be automatically charged .
I can also provides “superbills” (receipts outlining charges for services) in those cases where I am an ‘out-of-network’ provider. These superbills can be submitted by clients to their insurance for reimbursement at the rate set by their policy.
Using EAP Benefits
Employee Assistance Programs provided by your employer often offer a limited number of sessions (on average 5 sessions) with a therapist at no cost to the employee. These sessions must be preapproved must be preapproved by your companies EAP referral system (often found through the Human Resources Department at your company). This pre-authorization must be faxed or mailed in prior to the initial intake or brought to the initial intake for services to be started.
If you decide to continue with services after using all your EAP sessions, you may use your insurance mental health coverage. Co-pays and/or deductible may apply when using insurance benefits.
